Review sheet for the Final Exam

The final exam is scheduled for Wednesday April 25, from 10:30 to 1:00 p.m. This exam is comprehensive. That is, it will cover everything in class, although there will be somewhat of an emphasis on later material.

This list represents a list of possible topics. Items appearing in the lists below do not necessarily represent a comprehensive list of possible topics. Rather, they represent a guide: you should study those subjects related to the items appearing below.

Prior Content:

Use the study sheets from exams 1 through 3. The only new material here is what has been covered in class since the cutoff date for exam 3. Realistically, this means topics from chapter 8.

Chapter 8, Structures and Macros

Coverage in this chapter includes sections 8.1 through 8.2.6 (up to p. 278).

• Understand how the STRUC/ENDS combination works.
• Be able to define a structure.
• Be able to define a structure with certain default values.
• Understand the format of the MACRO directive.
• Be able to define a macro, including macros with parameters and how to make a parameter be required.
• Understand how to use a macro for defining data, in addition to defining code.
• Understand the use of the LOCAL directive.
